The Fitness Headquarters is an approved supplier for “COSTARS”, the Commonwealth’s cooperative purchasing program managed by the DGS Bureau of Procurement.

What does "COSTARS" mean?

"COSTARS" is the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's cooperativing purchasing program. The COSTARS approach to cooperative purchasing uses the purchasing power of local entities, to obtain more competitive pricing and choice than individual purchasers might be able to obtain on their own.

Who is eligible to purchase through COSTARS?

If you are a registered local public procurement units (LPPUs) or a state affiliated entity you may be eligible to purchase through COSTARS. Eligible Local Public Procurement Units are deﬁned as:

Any political subdivision;
Any public authority;
Any tax-exempt, nonproﬁ t educational or public health institution or organization;
Any nonproﬁt ﬁre, rescue, or ambulance company;
And to the extent provided by law, any other entity, including a council of government or an area government that expends public funds for the procurement of supplies and services
